A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Kotobukiya is taking its popular lineup of comic book and movie characters based on DC Comics properties to a whole new world with the introduction of statues from DC television shows on the CW. Speeding into the 1/10th scale ARTFX+ Statue series right out of Central City and TV’s The Flash is the titular character and fastest man alive: FLASH! When young forensic scientist Barry Allen was struck by an energy wave and assorted chemicals he was turned into a speedster, able to access the Speed Force. With incredible speed (and a group of loyal friends) he protects Central City and the rest of the world as the Flash, and now you can take home this selfless hero in a superb statue presentation featuring the likeness of actor Grant Gustin!
Fast even when he’s standing still, the Flash stops running just long enough to give you a little smirk. Barry has taken a brief rest from fighting crime and so wears his signature red costume, a flexible full-body outfit with textured panels, lots of layered details, and built in belt and boots. Gold piping contrasts nicely with the dark reds of the suit and appears on his boot laces and lighting bolt symbols on his belt. Meanwhile, at the center of Flash’s chest is his lightning bolt logo in gold over a white disc. Everything about Barry’s pose suggests he’s relaxed in the face of danger from his casual stance with one foot slightly forward to his arms crossed over his chest and of course the smile on his face. The speedster comes with not one but two different interchangeable heads so you can display him either bare-headed with his cowl pushed back or wearing his complete suit to hide his identity; both looks are screen-accurate and feature excellent replicas of actor Grant Gustin. Sculpted by M.I.C., TV’s the Flash stands just under 7 ½ inches tall (in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale), and magnets in his feet provide perfect stability on the included display base. Catch the Flash before he speeds away and he’ll make a great addition to your DC collection, especially when displayed alongside other “Arrow-verse” characters like Green Arrow and the upcoming Supergirl!
